We'll walk you through the steps to create a simple workflow, set up a project, add tasks to your project, and execute those tasks efficiently. Creating a Workflow in DropsLab Core
Step 1: Navigate to the Workflow Designer Page
Click on the "Workflow Designer" tab to open the page where you can create a new workflow.
Step 2: Add a Start Node
Click the "Start" icon on the toolbar to add a start node to your workflow canvas.
Step 3: Add Steps
Click the "Step" icon on the toolbar to add steps to your workflow. Note: We will add two steps in this workflow.
Step 4: Write Step Titles and Descriptions
Click on each step to open the step information panel. Enter a title and description for each step.
Step 5: Add an End Node and Connect All Nodes
Click the "End" icon to add an end node to your workflow. Draw connections from the start node to the first step, then from the first step to the second step, and finally from the second step to the end node.
Step 6: Add a Tag to a Step
Select the step to add a tag. Click the "Tag" icon on the toolbar and assign the necessary parameters to the tag.
Step 7: Import a Media File to the Step
Go to the side menu and click on the "Media Library." Choose the type of media (image, video, audio) you want to import, select the file, and import it to the desired step.
Step 8: Save the Workflow
Click the "Save" icon. Give your workflow a name/title and click the save button.

Creating a Project Associated with Your Workflow
Step 1: Create a Project from the Workflow Designer Page
Click the "Create Project" icon to open the new project panel.
Step 2: Enter Project Details on the "New Project" Tab
- Title/Name*: Enter the project name.
- Project Leader*: Select the project leader from the drop-down menu.
- Select Workflow*: Choose the workflow you just created.
- Acronym*: Enter an acronym for the project.
- Comments: Add any additional comments (optional). Click the "Next Step" button to continue to the Task Data tab.
Step 3: Task Data Panel
Click the "Add Row" button to add new tasks to the project. Add as many rows as needed.
Step 4: Fill in the Task Details
- Task #: A unique identifier for each task (automatically generated).
- Field 0: Enter information into custom fields (these can be renamed).
- Due Date: Specify the deadline for the task.
- Assignee: Assign a team member responsible for the task. Click the "Next Step" button to continue to the Tag Parameter tab.
Step 5: Tag Parameter Tab
Set the parameters for any tags associated with the tasks. For example, if using a Barcode tag, enter the Barcode tag parameter. Click the "Save" button to complete task creation.
Your project and tasks have been successfully created. This guide helps new users manage projects and tasks within DropsLab's Workflow Management System efficiently.
Executing Tasks in DropsLab Sense
Step 1: Navigate to DropsLab Sense
From the main menu, click on "Core," then select "Sense."
Step 2: Open the Task
Click on the task you created to open the task list. Click on the "Details" button to view the task execution page.
Step 3: Start the Task
On the task execution page, click the "Start" button to begin the task. Note: You can pause and resume the task as needed.
Step 4: Execute the Tags
Go to each step in the task and execute the tags. Ensure you execute each tag for each step (e.g., Barcode and Thumbs Up tags).
Step 5: Submit the Task
After executing all the tags, click the "Submit" button to finalize the task.
